About us
SustainGov is one of five strategic, “third wave” innovation programs within Impact Innovation funded by the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and Vinnova as part of their innovation investment for the 2030s. It is an actor-driven and long-term initiative aimed at contributing to solving complex societal challenges through systems innovation.
SustainGov’s mission: By 2035, a reformed public sector able to holistically promote and facilitate the health and well-being of all residents independently of geography and socio-economic status and ensuring an equitable and inclusive sustainability transition within the planet’s boundaries.
SustainGov’s ambition is to enable the public sector to move from “doing things right” to “doing the right things” by becoming the platform and community in which stakeholders are able to develop, test and share tools and insights that will enable real transformation, innovation and societal impact at the systems level.
The SustainGov consortium is made up of 16 organizations mainly representing the public sector and higher education institutions. Actors representing civil society, industry, politicians and academia are involved in various steering and advisory groups connected to the program.
SustainGov invites summit participants to an exlusive pre-meeting, with talks on how public sector can drive sustainable system change. The program is in Swedish.
